Family members of Jay Anderson, the man shot and killed by a Wauwatosa police officer at Madison Park more than four months ago, intend to sue the department for monetary damages, claiming the department failed to adequately provide for the officer’s psychological well-being.
The notice, filed Monday, also provides a clearer description of the not-yet released video from Officer Joseph Mensah’s squad car dash camera of the roughly 20 seconds before Anderson was mortally wounded in his vehicle at the park at 9800 West Glendale Avenue on June 23.
